Sims, Moss, Kline and Davis is a growing firm that needed a new look for their upcoming 10th anniversary. We setup smkdlaw.com with a new design and implemented a content management system (CMS). The CMS allows the firm to update content in-house, including published articles. This is especially useful now that they have a good deal of frequently changing content: news, publications and awards/judgements.
The home page has a subtle animation. A few of the animation pictures had to have various people and objects "photoshoped" out.
This was a fun project, so much so that we are considering marketing to other law firms.

Charlottesville Area Real Estate Launched
May 02 2007

CharlottesvilleAreaRealEstate.com is live. The primary goal of this site is to act as a resource for finding real estate in Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Vally. The owner, Dan Corbin, is a local Real Estate agent.
We wanted to include mls listings and ended up using an MLS/IDX service from Solid Earth. It was easy to integrate listings using their basic service. The drawback is that we have almost no control over the look or behavior of the listings and listings search. So we did the best we could given that limitation. The solution is to upgrade to Solid Earth's raw data-feed format. This approach would give us full control over the look-and-feel as well as the ability to layer on additional features (we have a lot of ideas here!). Dan may go this route in the future.
We've also added a news/blog component. This will help Dan keep content fresh and relevant. The entire site is setup with a Content Management System, allowing Dan to update the website content right from his web browser, no special software or skills required.
